It was a warm summer evening, and Jess West was eagerly anticipating her weekly get-together with her close-knit group of friends. They always had a great time together, but tonight would be extra special. Jess had secretly picked up a new toy for the occasion - a giant whoopie cushion that she was dying to show off.
As the clock struck seven, the doorbell rang, and one by one, each friend arrived at Jess's cozy apartment. There were hugs and laughter as they all settled in, chatting about their week and catching up on the latest gossip. But Jess couldn't contain her excitement any longer; she knew it was time to reveal her surprise.
"Guys, I have something really fun to show you!" she exclaimed, beaming with excitement. Her friends exchanged curious glances, intrigued by what she had in store. Jess led them into the living room, where she'd set up her secret weapon: the humongous whoopie cushion.
"What's this?" one of her friends asked, walking over to inspect it. Jess grinned from ear to ear, eagerly bouncing on the cushion. It let out a loud, satisfying "OOF!" sound, filling the air with laughter. The friends couldn't help but crack up as they took turns jumping on the whoopie cushion, giggling like schoolchildren.
After a while, they settled down, panting and wiping away tears from their eyes. "That was amazing!" one of them exclaimed, patting the cushion lovingly. "I can't believe we haven't done this before," said another, grinning wide.
Just as they were about to move on to their next activity, Jess's phone buzzed. She pulled it out of her pocket and frowned, quickly excusing herself from the group. Her friends exchanged confused glances but shrugged it off, going back to playing with the whoopie cushion.
A few minutes later, Jess returned, looking a bit flushed. "Guys, I have to apologize," she said sheepishly. "I got a work call, and I need to take it in the other room." She disappeared into the bedroom, leaving her friends alone in the living room.
As they continued to jump on the whoopie cushion, giggling and laughing loudly, they didn't notice anything unusual at first. But after a few minutes, one of them paused mid-bounce, frowning. "Did you guys hear that?" she asked, her ears perked up. They all went silent, listening intently.
Sure enough, they heard it - a faint rumble coming from the bedroom. It was quickly followed by a series of loud farts, each one louder than the last. The friends exchanged puzzled glances, wondering what on earth was going on.
Cautiously, they made their way into the bedroom, where they found Jess, looking flustered and red-faced. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, her phone still in her hand. "I'm so sorry," she muttered, her cheeks flushing even more. "I thought I could take the call quietly, but... well, you know."
Her friends couldn't help but burst into laughter once again. "Well, at least it's adding to the entertainment," one of them said, slapping Jess on the back playfully. They all shared a good laugh, with Jess joining in eventually.
As they left the room, they couldn't help but smirk at each other. The night had turned out to be even more memorable than they could have imagined. And they were all grateful for Jess's whoopie cushion, which had added an unexpected, riotous twist to their evening.
