Farting Roommate's Unfortunate Encounter
As I lay in bed, trying to fall asleep, I couldn't help but notice the foul odor wafting through our shared room. It was unmistakable – the distinct smell of rotten eggs mixed with something else equally unpleasant. My eyes shot open, and I glanced over at my roommate, Sashamonae. She was curled up on her side, fast asleep, completely unaware of the noxious cloud she was emitting.
I groaned in frustration. Over the past few weeks, Sashamonae had developed a nasty habit of farting loudly and frequently, especially after eating my fiber bars. It wasn't just unpleasant; it was downright disgusting. I'd already confronted her about it multiple times, but she seemed unable to control her flatulence.
Slowly, I sat up in bed, trying not to breathe too deeply. I hesitated for a moment, debating whether or not to wake her up. Ultimately, I decided that enough was enough – it was time for her to face the music.
"Sashamonae," I whispered, nudging her gently with my foot. "Wake up."
She let out a soft moan and shifted slightly, but didn't wake up completely. The farting continued unabated, filling the room with its noxious odor. I couldn't take it anymore.
"Sashamonae," I said, my voice a bit louder this time. "You need to stop farting. Right now."
That's when things got interesting. She sat up suddenly, looking around with a confused expression on her face. "What?" she asked, taking a deep breath. "Did you just fart?"
I shook my head, trying not to gag. "No, I didn't," I lied. "But you keep doing it, and it's disgusting. You need to get that under control."
She looked at me like I had lost my mind. "I don't think that's possible," she said, rolling her eyes. "It's just a natural bodily function, you know?"
I couldn't believe my ears. "It's not natural to fart all the time," I snapped. "And it's definitely not natural to stink up the entire room like this. Do you have any idea how much it's affecting me?"
Sashamonae looked back at me, her expression suddenly serious. "I didn't realize it was that bad," she said. "I'll try to be more conscious of it."
I didn't believe her for a second, but I decided to let it go for the time being. There was nothing more I could do about it, and I just wanted to get some sleep.
As I lay back down, I couldn't help but wonder when (or if) things would ever change. Living with Sashamonae was proving to be a challenge in more ways than one, and I was starting to wonder if we were even compatible roommates. Only time would tell.
