The Grinch's Guide to Surviving Christmas
As the clock struck midnight on Christmas Eve, Nicoletta Embassi found herself in a familiar position. She hated this time of year. The twinkling lights, the sappy songs, the obligatory dinners with relatives she saw once a year; it was all too much. But this year, Nicoletta had decided to take matters into her own hands.
Dressed head-to-toe in black, she strolled through the crowded streets, taking in the chaos that surrounded her. The air was thick with anticipation and excitement, but Nicoletta felt nothing but contempt. As she walked, she couldn't help but notice the thick, cloying smell that seemed to hang in the air. It was almost as if someone was deliberately farting their way through the festive season.
Her eyes widened in realization. This was her chance! She would channel her anger and frustration into a daring revenge. With each step, she let loose a loud, proud fart, relishing in the shocked expressions of those around her. She had no idea who might be on the receiving end of her "gift", but it didn't matter. It was the thought that counted.
By the time she reached the store, she was walking a fine line between amusement and arousal. The joy on people's faces as they were hit with wave after wave of her stinky gas was almost enough to make her smile. Almost. As she entered the store, she couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She was making a difference, however small.
Her mission complete, Nicoletta returned home, feeling lighter than she had in months. She knew that she had probably offended some people along the way, but she also knew that she had made some stand. After all, it was the thought that counted.
