Daniel swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. "I-I didn't mean anything by it," he mumbled weakly.
Just then, Ayumme stepped forward, glaring at him with fiery eyes. "You've disrespected my friend and disregarded our boss's trust," she said, her voice shaking with anger. "You need to be taught a lesson."
