Every noise was amplified in the small, cramped apartment. The sound of a can opening, the fridge door closing, even the faint hum of the air conditioning unit mixed together to create a cacophony of chaos. Despite the commotion, Jasmine couldn't help but laugh as she sat on the edge of her bed, scrolling through her phone while her roommate, Alex, cooked dinner.
Suddenly, Alex let out a loud burp that echoed through the small space. "Sorry," she mumbled, her cheeks reddening slightly as she quickly walked over to the sink to wash her hands. "I forgot to burp after eating that burrito earlier."
Jasmine just shook her head, still chuckling. "It's all good. At least you can blame it on the food this time." She took another sip of her wine before setting it down on the nightstand and standing up to stretch.
Alex had just finished setting the table when another loud fart echoed through the room. This time, they both turned around to see who it was. "Was that you?" Alex asked, glancing between Jasmine and the door.
Jasmine shrugged innocently. "Not me. Must've been the dog." She laughed again, but her eyes were wide with mischief.
Alex rolled her eyes, knowing full well that their old dog, Walter, hadn't made a sound all day. She couldn't help but feel a bit flustered by the whole situation. "Well, we'd better get used to it," she muttered under her breath as she walked back to the stove to check on the pasta.
As they sat down to dinner, the noise continued to escalate. There were more burps, more farts, and even some rather loud belches. At one point, Jasmine let out a particularly loud fart that made Alex choke on her wine. "What the hell was that?" Alex asked, coughing between words.
Jasmine just grinned. "Probably just me," she replied nonchalantly.
By the time they finished dinner, both girls were feeling a bit tipsy from the wine. As they cleaned up the kitchen together, they couldn't help but let out little noises here and there. A cranky belch from Alex, a loud fart from Jasmine. They laughed it off, linking it back to the adventurous burrito from earlier.
Eventually, they retired to the living room, snuggling up on the couch with some leftover pizza and another bottle of wine. They watched a cheesy rom-com on Netflix, giggling at the corny jokes and sharing more quiet farts and burps.
As the night wore on, the noise between them became more frequent and more audible. They didn't even pretend to be embarrassed anymore. Instead, they found comfort in each other's company, laughing at their own noises and even joining in when the other one let out a particularly loud one.
By the end of the night, Jasmine and Alex were inseparable, their stomachs full of pizza and their hearts full of laughter. Little did they know, this would be the start of a new tradition: a night filled with nasty noises and endless giggles.
