The moment Emily stepped into her boyfriend Alex's room, she was hit with the unmistakable aroma of flatulence. "Ugh, what is that smell?" she asked, wrinkling her nose.
Alex, who was sitting on his bed playing video games, looked up with a sheepish grin, "Oh, hey Em. That's just me. I've been eating a lot of beans today." He shrugged, trying to play it cool.
Emily rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but glare at the gas-filled mess that was Alex. She walked over to his bed, trying to ignore the faint farting sounds coming from beneath the blankets. "Well, you better get ready. We're going to your parents' for dinner tonight," she said, looking at him sternly.
Alex nodded, still farting softly beneath the covers. "I know, I know. Let me just finish this level and I'll clean up," he promised her.
Emily sighed, knowing that Alex would never be punctual if she didn't push him. "You'd better hurry up then," she said, turning to leave the room.
As she walked out, she couldn't help but wonder how she ended up with such a disgusting boyfriend. Alex was always like this, constantly farting and not even trying to hide it. Sometimes she thought about breaking up with him, but then he would promise to change and she would forgive him.
She went into the bathroom to wash her hands, trying to ignore the smell that lingered in the air. Emily looked at herself in the mirror, noticing how pretty she was. She had long, wavy blonde hair that cascaded down her back and big blue eyes that seemed to sparkle when she smiled.
She thought about how nice it would be to find someone who wasn't so disgusting all the time. Someone who could make her laugh and not fart every other minute. But for now, she was stuck with Alex.
After washing her hands, Emily walked back into Alex's room to find him still sitting on his bed, farting. She sighed in frustration and went over to his dresser, picking up his dirty clothes and tossing them into a hamper. "You really need to do something about your gas problem," she said, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
Alex just shrugged, not seeming to care. "I know, I know. But it's not like I can help it," he said, sounding defeated.
Emily rolled her eyes again and started picking up his electronic devices, placing them on his desk. "Well, you better figure it out soon," she warned him, getting ready to leave the room.
As she walked out, she couldn't help but think about how nice it would be to be with someone who didn't make her skin crawl with their disgusting habits. But for now, she supposed she would just have to deal with Alex and his endless supply of farts.
Emily went downstairs to wait for Alex, trying to ignore the smell that still lingered in the air. She looked out the window, watching as the sun began to set over the horizon. She thought about how much she loved nature and how much she hated being stuck in a house with Alex's stinky gas.
Just then, Alex came strolling down the stairs, still farting beneath his clothes. Emily could see the telltale signs of his disgusting habit - the slight bulge in his pants and the slight shift in his weight as he walked.
"Are you ready?" she asked, trying to keep her nose from wrinkling at the smell.
Alex nodded, not looking too pleased. "Yeah, let's go," he said, opening the door and stepping outside.
The moment they stepped outside, Emily could smell the fresh air and it was like a breath of fresh air. She inhaled deeply, trying to erase the memory of Alex's stinky farts from her mind.
As they walked to Emily's parents' house, Emily couldn't help but wonder if there was something wrong with Alex. He seemed completely oblivious to the fact that his constant farting was making everyone around him uncomfortable.
She sighed, knowing that she should probably talk to him about it but also knowing that it would be a futile effort. Alex would just promise to change and then go right back to his disgusting ways.
When they arrived at Emily's parents' house, her mom opened the door and gave them both a hug. "Hi, sweetheart! It's so good to see you," she said, giving Emily a big smile.
Emily forced a smile back, trying not to think about the fact that her mom was probably smelling Alex's farts too. "Hi, mom. This is Alex," she said, introducing them.
Her mom nodded politely at Alex, but Emily could see the skepticism in her eyes. She had met Alex before and she wasn't exactly a fan of his disgusting habits.
They sat down for dinner, Emily trying her best to ignore the smell that seemed to be seeping out of Alex with every breath he took. Her parents were polite, but Emily could tell that they were also uncomfortable with the situation.
As they ate, Emily couldn't help but think about how much she wished she could just be with someone normal. Someone who didn't constantly fart and make everyone around them uncomfortable.
After dinner, they said their goodbyes and headed back home. Emily was glad to be away from her parents' house, away from the stench of Alex's farts.
When they got back to Alex's room, Emily couldn't take it anymore. "You really need to do something about your gas problem, Alex," she said, looking at him seriously.
Alex just shrugged, looking sheepish. "I know, I know. But it's not like I can help it," he said, sounding defeated.
Emily sighed, knowing that she couldn't force Alex to change. He would just have to live with his disgusting habit or find someone else who was willing to put up with it.
She turned around and left the room, going to take a long, hot shower to wash away the smell of Alex's farts. As she stood under the stream of hot water, Emily couldn't help but wish that she could wash away the memory of him and his constant stink too.
