As the bubbles rose and cascaded around her, Amelia settled into the warm, soothing water of the bathtub. The scent of lavender filled the air, mingling with the steam that curled up towards the ceiling. She allowed herself a contented sigh, closing her eyes and letting her mind drift.
The day had been long and stressful, and she was looking forward to unwinding with a nice, relaxing bath. She ran her fingers through her wet hair, feeling the weight of the water pull it down her back. She leaned back against the rim of the tub, letting out a long exhale as she felt the tension begin to melt away.
But just as she started to truly relax, her stomach rumbled loudly. Embarrassed, she clamped a hand over her mouth, trying to silence the sound. It was no use, though; the air in the small room seemed to echo the loud, gassy noise.
Her face flushed bright red, and she cursed under her breath. This was exactly the kind of thing she hadn't needed today. She'd just settled into a much-needed soak, and now she felt like a fool, sitting here with her stomach growling like a bear's.
She couldn't help but glance down at her flat stomach, wondering if that was what had caused the rumbling. It was possible - she hadn't eaten since lunch, and she was definitely hungrier than she'd realized. But even as she thought this, another loud fart slipped out, sending more waves of heat and humiliation coursing through her body.
She felt her cheeks burn even hotter, and she cursed herself for being so careless. She'd thought no one would hear her, but clearly she'd been wrong. With a sigh, she resigned herself to the fact that she wasn't going to be able to keep everything under control tonight.
As she sat there, another wave of gas building up inside her, she couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like to let it all out. To let the warm water and steam carry her farts away, leaving her clean and refreshed. It was a strange thought, but one that strangely appealed to her.
Slowly, tentatively, she pushed down on her stomach, trying to force the gas up and out of her body. At first, nothing happened, but then, with a soft whoosh, a gust of wind escaped from her, sending ripples across the surface of the water.
Encouraged, she tried again, pushing harder this time. Another fart burst from her, stronger than the last, sending waves of heat and humidity swirling around the room. She closed her eyes, letting out a long, slow breath as she reveled in the sensation of her gas escaping into the world.
For a moment, she considered stopping there, but the feeling was too good to resist. One after another, she let her farts loose, watching as they danced across the surface of the water, disappearing into the steamy air. By the time she was done, she felt lighter and more relaxed than she had in ages.
With a contented sigh, she leaned back against the rim of the tub, letting her head loll to one side. As she watched the last of the bubbles pop on the surface of the water, she couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder: who knew that letting go could feel so good?
