As the sun began to set on another long day at the library, Mei Kitty and Miss Lith found themselves in a bit of a predicament. They were both suffering from severe gas pains, caused by the less-than-appetizing cafeteria food they had consumed earlier in the day.
The two girls had been studying together in one of the library's secluded study rooms, immersed in their books and notes. It wasn't until the smell of rotten eggs filled the air that they realized something was wrong. They glanced at each other, both of their faces contorted in pain from the gases building up inside them.
"I really think I'm going to burst," Mei groaned, clutching her stomach.
"Same here," Lith agreed, her cheeks flushing red from the discomfort.
They knew they had to do something about their predicament, so they hatched a plan. Each of them would use the toilet when the other left it free, hoping that the pressure would ease up a bit.
Mei went first, her gas escaping in a loud, long sigh as she relieved herself. The moment she was done, she knocked on the door, signaling Lith that she could come in.
"Oh, thank god," Lith said, rushing into the bathroom. As she sat down on the cold toilet seat, she let out a long fart, the sound echoing through the small room. "My turn," she said, wiping her tears of relief.
When they were both finally done, they stepped out of the bathroom, their faces pale from the gas. "That was awful," Mei said, her voice shaky.
"I knew that cafeteria food was bad, but I didn't think it would be this bad," Lith added, still wincing from the pain.
They decided that they had to do something about the cafeteria, so they gathered their things and made their way to the front desk. The librarian, a kind-looking older woman, looked up from her book when she saw them approaching.
"Excuse me, ma'am," Mei said, trying to catch her breath. "We just wanted to let you know that the food in the cafeteria is really bad. It's causing us both severe gas pains."
The librarian's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that," she said, looking genuinely concerned. "I'll make sure to pass your concerns on to the administration. Thank you for bringing this to my attention."
As they walked out of the library, Mei and Lith felt a sense of relief wash over them. They had done something about their problem and, even better, they had helped to improve the quality of life for everyone who used the library cafeteria.
