It had been a wild night of giggles, games, and girls for the step-sisters. They had all gathered in the living room for their annual sleepover, complete with pizza, movies, and lots of gossip. But as the evening wore on, and one by one the girls drifted off to sleep, the tension between the step-sisters reached a boiling point.
Audrey, the older and wiser of the two, had always been a bit embarrassed by her younger stepsister, Chloe. Chloe was loud, brash, and always seemed to be getting into trouble. Audrey couldn't help but feel a sense of smug satisfaction as she watched Chloe squirm on the couch, unable to find a comfortable spot to sleep. Audrey knew just how to make things worse for her little stepsister.
As the last of the girls left for their bedrooms, Audrey turned off the lights and led Chloe upstairs to her room. They shared a bedroom now that their parents were divorced, but it wasn't like they were close or anything. Audrey was just glad that she didn't have to listen to Chloe's annoying snores all night long.
Once they were alone in the room, Audrey took her sweet time changing into her pajamas, taking great pleasure in teasing Chloe about how long it took her to fall asleep. When Audrey finally crawled into bed, she couldn't resist letting one little fart slip out. She knew it would be enough to make Chloe squirm, and she wasn't disappointed.
"What was that?" Chloe asked, her voice muffled by the pillow over her face.
"Nothing," Audrey replied nonchalantly, rolling over to face the wall. She knew that Chloe wouldn't be able to sleep now, not with the fear of Audrey's farts lingering in the air. Audrey closed her eyes, content in the knowledge that she had one-upped her little stepsister yet again.
But as the night wore on, Audrey's happiness turned to discomfort. She had held in her farts for so long, and now they were all ready to explode. She knew that she couldn't hold them back anymore, not if she wanted to survive the night. So, with a deep breath, she let them all out at once.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Chloe screamed, launching herself off the bed and onto the floor. "What is that horrible smell?!"
"Oh, that?" Audrey said, feigning innocence. "That must be you. I'm sure you had a lot of fun at the party."
Chloe looked at Audrey, her face a mix of anger and humiliation. "This isn't funny," she said, getting to her feet.
"I never said it was," Audrey replied, enjoying every moment of her sister's discomfort.
As the morning sun started to peek through the curtains, Audrey couldn't help but smile. She had survived another night with Chloe, and she had managed to make it even more memorable. Little did Chloe know that Audrey had already planned her revenge for the next time they had a sleepover.
